Nelson Meggitt

Founder/Head Brewmaster
Nelson Meggitt grew up on a dairy farm in central Alberta and was very much involved and responsible for 65+ head of cows from the young age of 9 years old. From environmental hardships and survival necessity, he developed characteristics of self-discipline, self-reliance, and resourcefulness. After his family relocated to Vancouver Island when he was 12, he went on to graduate from G.P Vanier Senior Secondary in Courtenay, BC with High Honours in Mathematics and Science. Nelson then further developed a host of practical skills in his later working years through various trades positions in Agriculture, Construction, Equipment Operation and eventually Civil Drafting and OH&S Consulting (primarily to the Forest Sector). Through perseverance and determination, Nelson overcame numerous obstacles and setbacks, including a serious low back injury and chronic health challenges that eventually led him to explore various holistic health modalities and learn all he could about the unseen energy world.
Encouraged by his own gradual progress and wishing to pay his newfound understanding forward, he enjoyed a brief period as a Life & Wellness Coach and Student Aromatherapist. It was at this time that he met Pei-Fen Chang and she introduced him to kombucha. Shortly thereafter, he had admittedly become an obsessed homebrewer with a penchant for applying metaphysical principles to his methods in the spirit of the findings of the late Dr. Masaru Emoto. The rest is history, as they say, and Nelson now has a clear vision to create a selection of the most sought-after luxury cultured tea and tisane functional beverages in the world, with strong alignment to the fundamentals of Five Element Theory in Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as the ancient, but recently rediscovered tenets of Vibrational Medicine.
Pei-Fen Chang

Co-Founder/Head of Product Development
In a secure environment and loving home, Pei-Fen Chang, grew up in Taiwan with basically three options to quench her thirst. It was either water, tea, or her mother’s homemade kombucha. There was no going to the corner store with her friends to buy commercially made soft-drinks or fruit juices. While feeling she was missing out somewhat at the time, she also knew that her mother’s kombucha and the approach she had in making it were special. Although her mom would frequently give portions of SCOBY to neighbours and friends, many would repeatedly return for more due to lack of success in making their own kombucha. Pei-Fen now knows that she was truly blessed to have been raised in the home that she was, as her passion for exceptional kombucha and promoting the concept of food therapy has become her calling. In 1988, Pei Fen obtained a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from WuFeng University in her home, Chiayi City. She also possesses a natural affinity for the fundamental principles of TCM, along with a genuine talent for creating mouth-watering traditional Taiwanese vegetarian dishes of many varieties.
Having gradually blended so many unique facets of their individual personalities, talents, world views and views on holistic health and positive lifestyle; Nelson and Pei-Fen are constantly infusing their brand with their hearts and souls. The combined energy they bring to the brewing process, along with the specific techniques they employ, result in a finished product that seems to prove not only the historical notion of water being a liquid crystal, having memory and being a repository of information, but also of the idea that the living organisms in the SCOBY will respond to love and appreciation much the same as higher life forms are known to do. Every element of Nelson and Pei-Fen’s life-paths and activities are now aligning with uncanny synergy, clearing the way for more miracles with each step they take. They have a clear intention to utilize the vehicle of their brand to deliver value to society, but also to perform their own vital parts in transforming this hurting world into one of Great Harmony!
